However, natural history definitive predictors long-term RF PN in renal tumors with nephrometry score (RENAL) 7-9 (moderate complex, M) or 10-12 (high H) remain unclear. Thus, aim present study was compare functional outcomes evaluated diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) scan Modification Diet Disease (MDRD) formula between M H tumors. METHODS: In 2004/01-2019/12, 471 patients RNS (M) 164 (H) who underwent were analyzed for outcomes. Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) measured DTPA scan, calculated GFR using formula, Trifecta/Pentafecta outcome, recurrence free survival (RFS), overall (OS) compared propensity matching analysis (PSMA). RESULTS: After PSMA, 156 cases each group matched without significant difference factor. At postoperative (postop) 1st year, there no Trifecta (p=0.320), MDRD-based (p=0.729), DTPA-based Pentafecta achievement (p=0.964) groups. 5 years, total (93.6% vs. 93.8%) operated kidney preservation (89.9% 81.7%) did not differ significantly (p>0.05). Kaplan-Meier showed differences Significant de novo chronic disease (CKD) stage ≥3 at year age (Hazard ratio (HR): 1.10, 95% CI: 1.03-1.17, p=0.005) (HR: 0.94, 0.91-0.98, p=0.001). CONCLUSIONS: High tumor can be treated deterioration. Postoperative kidney’s is preserved up 80% long term. should selectively performed caution avoid occurrence CKD. A Propensity-Score Matched Comparison of Perioperative and Early Renal Functional Outcomes of Robotic versus Open Partial Nephrectomy
OBJECTIVES To compare the perioperative and early renal functional outcomes of RPN with OPN for kidney tumors. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 209 RPN or OPN patients with availability of preoperative cross-sectional imaging since 2009 at our center were included. To adjust for potential baseline confounders propensity-score matching was performed, which resulted in 94 OPNs matched to 51 RPN...
متن کاملComparison of perioperative outcomes with or without renorrhaphy during open partial nephrectomy: A propensity score-matched analysis.
PURPOSE Renorrhaphy in partial nephrectomy may damage intraparenchymal vessels and compress the renal parenchyma, which may lead to the formation of renal artery pseudoaneurysms or vascularized parenchymal volume reduction. Using propensity score matching, we compared surgical outcomes following non-renorrhaphy and renorrhaphy techniques for open partial nephrectomy (OPN) for T1a renal tumors. ...
متن کاملComparison of the Width of Peritumoral Surgical Margin in Open and Robotic Partial Nephrectomy: A Propensity Score Matched Analysis
BACKGROUND To compare the surgical margin status after open partial nephrectomy (OPN) and robotic partial nephrectomy (RPN) performed in patients with T1a renal cell carcinoma (RCC). METHODS This was a propensity score-matched study including 702 patients with cT1a RCC treated with partial nephrectomy (PN) between May 2003 and July 2015. Perioperative parameters, including surgical margin wid...
متن کاملDynamic-contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of cirrhotic liver parenchyma: A comparison between gadolinium-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid and gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid.
BACKGROUND The newly developed magnetic-resonance-imaging (MRI) hepatocyte-specific contrast agent, gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA), has different excretion pathways from the conventional MRI contrast agent, gadolinium-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-DTPA). In this study, we compare the enhancement effect of the liver and renal parenchyma betwee...
متن کاملPredicting outcomes in partial nephrectomy: is the renal score useful?
INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVE The R.E.N.A.L. nephrometry system (RNS) has been validated in multiple open, laparoscopic and robotic partial nephrectomy series. The aim of this study was to test the accuracy of R.E.N.A.L. nephrometry system in predicting perioperative outcomes in surgical treatment of kidney tumors <7.0cm in a prospective model. MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventy-one patients were sel...
